4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 37).
5. Remove the following components:
a. Bottom door (see
Bottom door on page 38).
b. Optical drive (see
Optical drive on page 41).
c. Keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 47).
d. Metal heat shield (see
Metal heat shield on page 51).
e. Top cover (see
Top cover on page 58).
Remove the fingerprint board:
1. Position the top cover upside-down with the front toward you.
2. Remove the screw (1) that secures the fingerprint board to the top cover.
3. Remove the fingerprint board retainer (2).
4. Lift the cable (3) that is attached to the top cover with adhesive from the top cover and then
remove the fingerprint reader (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the fingerprint board.
