About the Switch Manager

This interface launches if the switch was previously configured with the command line
interface (CLI) or Web Tools. See the Web Tools Administrator’s Guide for instructions for
using this interface
NOTE
Use the configure command on CLI to set Web Tools attributes to determine if EZSwitchSetup
Switch Manager or Web Tools launches. See the Fabric OS Command Reference for
information on the configure command.

About the Switch Manager
The EZSwitchSetup Switch Manager is a simplified version of Web Tools. It streamlines switch
management by providing an easy-to-use subset of basic switch management tasks.
You can use the EZSwitchSetup Switch Manager to do the following:
• Monitor the switch, including port and field replacable units (FRU) status
• Manage custom zoning
• Perform basic switch configurations
• Add Ports On Demand (POD)
