ISL trunking groups

If your 4Gb SAN Switch is licensed for interswitch link (ISL) trunkin g, use the trunking

groups available on the switch.

TheFCportsarenumberedfromlefttoright,andarepartofthesameISLtrunking

group. The trunking group consists of the ports shown in Figure 2.

NOTE:

ISL Trunking

is optional software that allows you to create trunking groups of ISLs

between adjacent switches. ISL trunking is available on the Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch

for HP c-Class BladeSystem Power Pack model, or by purchasing the optional license

described in Supported optional features. For more information about trunking, refer to

Supported optional features

The 4Gb SAN Switch includes the following optional software, which can be activated

by purchasing the corresponding license key:

• Fabric Manager

• Secure F abric OS (the Secure F abric OS feature is standard in ﬁrmwar e versions

5.3.0 and later)

• ISL Tr unking

• Fabric Watch

• Advanc ed Performance Monitoring (APM)

• Extended Fabrics

The 4Gb SAN Switch ships conﬁgured with the HP StorageWorks Full Fabric license,

which includes the Zoning and Advanced Web Tools features.

If you purchased a 4Gb SAN Switch for HP c-Class BladeSystem Power Pack, it includes

the following optional software:

• ISL Trunking

• Fabric Watch

• Advanc ed Performance Monitoring

• Extended Fabrics
