Viewing equipment status
You can display status for fans, power supply, and temperature.
NOTE: The number of fans, power supply units, and temperature sensors depends on the switch type.
For detailed specifications on these components, refer to the switch hardware reference manual. The
output from the status commands varies depending on the switch type
To display the status of the fans:
1. Connect to the switch and log in as admin.
2. Issue the fanshow command:
The possible status values are:
bad eof Frames with bad end-of-frame delimiters.
enc out Encoding error outside of frames.
disc c3 Class 3 frames discarded.
link fail Link failures (LF1 or LF2 states).
loss sync Loss of synchronization.
loss sig Loss of signal.
frjt Frames rejected with F_RJT.
fbsy Frames busied with F_BSY.

FAULTY Fan has exceeded hardware tolerance.
