502 Fabric OS commands
Displays slot power-off list order.
Synopsis
powerofflistshow
Availability
all users
Description
Use this command to display the order in which the physical slots will be powered off. The
system-available power is compared to the system demand power to determine if there is enough power to
operate. If there is less power available than the demand, then the power-off list is processed until there is
enough power for the system to operate.
Note that if the system abruptly goes from a state with enough power to run all inserted and powered FRUs
to a state with too little power to run everything, no processing of the power off list can be done. This is
due to the lack of power causes the CP boards’ processors to cease executing the firmware. In this
situation, all operation of the system terminates immediately. An example of this situation is when a third
power supply is removed from the chassis, so that suddenly only one power supply is available to power a
fully loaded system. However, if the system is running on two power supplies (this is not recommended)
and one goes into predicted fail state (in which the power supply is still supplying power), the power off
list processes as described.
The format of the display varies, depending on the switch model and the number of slots present.
