6.9.1 Connection
The Barcode Scanner may be plugged into any free USB port, including powered USB ports. If
a powered USB port is used, the powered portion is just not utilized.
6.9.2 Interfaces
The Barcode Scanner supports the following interfaces:
• USB COM
• USB Composite (default)
• USB HID POS
6.9.3 Configuration
To change the Barcode Scanner configuration settings such as interface, there are three
methods available:
• Common configuration barcodes in this document.
• Programming Reference Guide available from HP.COM
• HP EZConfig (only available through a Softpaq download from HP.COM)
