printer CD problems
Follow this chart if the printer CD does not auto-run after you insert it into the computer’s
CD-ROM drive.
When I insert the printer CD
into the computer’s CD-ROM
drive, it does not auto-run.
• Your computer may not be set to auto-run a
CD.
• The CD may be damaged.
1. Double-click the My Computer icon on the
computer’s desktop.
2.Double-click the icon for the computer’s CD-
ROM drive (usually drive D).
3.If the CD does not run, locate the Setup.exe
file, then double-click Setup.exe.
If the computer cannot read the CD, call HP
Customer Care. For the phone number of the
HP Customer Care center near you, see
“contacting hp customer care” on page 17.
