NEW NAMING CONVENTION
HP Imaging and Printing Group is changing the way it assigns product names and model numbers to make it easier for customers
to select the HP product that best suits their needs
Key changes
• The system will be introduced as new products are released.
• An alphanumeric system will be adopted by adding lead alphas to model numbers and redefining a consistent meaning for
trailing alphas.
The new alphanumeric naming and model numbering system will improve selection, increase consistency in the HP Imaging and
Printing portfolio, and better define each product and its' features.
