All of the Windows system components are installed by using the HP Color LaserJet CP5220 Series
printing-system installer. The installer automatically detects the language of the operating system. See
Documentation availability and localization on page 5.
Driver configuration for Windows
The following printer drivers provide the printing features and communication between the computer
and the product

PCL 6 (on the software CD)
●
PCL 5 universal printer driver (HP UPD) (available on the Web)
●
HP postscript level 3 emulation universal printer driver (available on the Web)
All of the drivers provide access to paper-handling and print-quality features.
The printer drivers include online Help that has instructions for common printing tasks and also describes
the buttons, check boxes, and drop-down lists that are in the printer driver.
NOTE: The PCL 5 and HP postscript level 3 emulation universal printer drivers that support this
product are versions of the HP Universal Print Driver (UPD) for Windows. They install and operate in
the same manner as previous versions of those drivers, and they do not require any special
