Caveats
• CSCse88818
Symptom: When an SFP is inserted into a Cisco MDS 9020 Fabric Switch, the initial state of the
switch may indicate that the SFP is absent.
Workaround: Issue the shutdown/no shutdown commands on the switch port to put the port in the
correct state.
• CSCse66725
Symptom: If you are running Cisco FabricWare 2.1(3) on a Cisco MDS 9020 Fabric Switch that is
managed by a version of Cisco Fabric Manager or Device Manager that is earlier than Release
2.1(3), Cisco Fabric Manager or Device Manager will ask you if you want to upgrade. If you respond
yes to this prompt, the upgrade will fail because Cisco Fabric Manager or Device Manager cannot
be upgraded from the MDS 9020 switch.
Workaround: Do not respond yes to this prompt because Cisco Fabric Manager or Device Manager
cannot be upgraded from the MDS 9020 switch.
