Deactivating and Purging a Cisco SME Cluster
You can archive clusters that are Online, Pending, or Deprecated. For information on cluster states, see
the
“Viewing Cluster States” section on page 4-23.
Archiving and then purging a Cisco SME cluster involves the following steps:
Delete all tape groups, tape devices, and tape volume groups (see Chapter 5, “Cisco SME Tape
Configuration”)
Delete all switches and Cisco SME interfaces from the cluster (see Chapter 3, “Cisco SME Interface
Configuration”)
Change the cluster state to deactivated (see Deactivating a Cisco SME Cluster, page 4-21)
Purge (permanently delete) a Cisco SME cluster (see Purging a Cisco SME Cluster, page 4-22)
Note You can only purge a cluster that is in the deactivated state.
