Caveats
CSCtr52721
Symptom: On the 48-port 8-Gbps Advanced Fibre Channel switching module (DSX9248-256K9),
port monitoring and alarms for Tx and Rx traffic can get disabled under some conditions for ports
that have their speed set as “switchport speed auto.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
CSCts21095
Symptom: Lower than expected performance occurred when a Qlogic HBA was connected to a
Cisco MDS 9000 switch and a port was configured in F-mode. The switch responded to a Get Port
Speed Capabilities (GPSC) request with incorrect values for both Port Speed Capabilities and Port
Operating Speed:
The Port Speed Capabilities was not set to any value.
For a port speed of 1 Gbps, the switch responded with Port Operating Speed of 10 Gbps.
For a port speed of 2 Gbps, the switch responded with Port Operating Speed 4 Gbps.
For a port speed of 4 Gbps, the switch responded with Port Operating Speed 2Gbps.
For a port speed of 8 Gbps, the switch responded with Port Operating Speed, speed not
established
For a port speed of10 Gbps, the switch responded with Port Operating Speed 1Gbps
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: A temperature sensor alarm might occur with sensor 1 or sensor 2 on the 32-port 8-Gbps
Advanced Fibre Channel Switching Module (DS-X9232-256K9). The following error appears:
%PLATFORM-4-MOD_TEMPFAIL:
The output of the show environment temperature command shows that the sensor status is failure.
