Caveats

Condition: When there is a large switch fabric with more than 8000 entries in the FCNS database.

the zone server, Inter-VSAN Routing (IVR), Fibre Channel Name Server (FCNS) database, and
SCSI targets to avoid forwarding information base (FIB) drops, the zone merge failure, and zone
server crash.
Condition: Normal operation.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: The upgrade of an MDS dual-supervisor switch fails with the following error:

Install has failed. Return code 0x4093005E (system switchover failed).
Condition: This occurs during any supervisor switchover. This is limited to the following
conditions:
Performed an In Service Software Upgrade (ISSU) or In Service Software Downgrade (ISSD)
to Cisco MDS Release 5.2(1) to another Cisco MDS NX-OS version.
A user initiates reset of the standby supervisor while running Cisco MDS NX-OS Release
5.2(1).
The system initiates a supervisor switchover when the active supervisor fails.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
