Caveats
• CSCug49301
Symptom: Virtual Shell (VSH) crashes while collecting the Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP) technical
support information and displays the following error message:
%VSHD-2-VSHD_SYSLOG_EOL_ERR: EOL function fcip_show_ta_info_all from library
libips_mgr_fcip.so exited due to Signal 11
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCug57810
Symptom: Requirement for the enhanced Cisco MDS Data Mobility Manager (DMM) feature for
each job to support up to 255 logical unit numbers (LUNs), display status information on the CLI,
and reduce the frequency of the Modified Region Log (MRL) retrievals by setting the
DMM_ASYNC_IDLE_TMOUT option.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: An interface goes down without a clear reason with the following error:
%PORT-5-IF_DOWN_NONE: %$VSAN 10%$ Interface fc2/23 is down (None)
Condition: This issue only occurs when an error occurs during the FLOGI or FDISC process on an
interface.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCue91565
Symptom: The standby supervisor remains in the powered-up state and it fails to reach the standby
status. The show logging logfile command displays the following:
%SYSMGR-2-GSYNC_SNAPSHOT_SRVFAILED: Service "zone" on active supervisor failed to
store its snapshot (error-id 0x80480018).
%SYSMGR-2-STANDBY_BOOT_FAILED: Standby supervisor failed to boot up.
Condition: This occurs only if the standby supervisor is restarted more than 200 times since the
active supervisor became active
.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: The syslogd process crashes when fabric of multiple Cisco MDS switches are merged
and then a switchover is performed.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: Requirement for addition of the following CLI commands in the Cisco MDS NX-OS
software:
– show port index-allocation
– show port index-allocation startup
– show port-license
– show port-resource module
Workaround: This issue is resolved.

Symptom: The zone server crashes because of the hear beat failure on a switch reload.
