Explanation
An error occurred while committing the configuration. Configuration could not be
committed on some switches. The reason for the failure is that the configuration is inconsistent in
the fabric.
Recommended Action If you purchased Cisco support through a Cisco reseller, contact the reseller
directly. If you purchased support directly from Cisco Systems, contact Cisco Technical Support.
Introduced Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 2.1(1a).
Error Message IVR-3-COMMIT_REJECTED: [chars].
Explanation The commit request received from the remote switch is rejected. The reason for the
failure is shown in the error message.
Recommended Action If you purchased Cisco support through a Cisco reseller, contact the reseller
directly. If you purchased support directly from Cisco Systems, contact Cisco Technical Support.
Introduced Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 2.1(1a).
Error Message IVR-3-DDAS_LOCK_TIMER_EXPIRED: IVR database lock is released, as
device-alias commit/abort notification is not received in the expected time frame.
Explanation
When device-alias sends the validation request, the IVR database is locked and a timer
is started. For any reason, if device-alias commit/abort notification is not received within the
expected time frame, the lock timer expires and the lock is released. If device-alias commit
notification is received after the lock is released, the changes are not applied and this could cause
inconsistency between IVR and device-alias.
Recommended Action No action is required.
Introduced Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 3.1(1).
