Cisco MDS 9000 Family System Messages Reference
OL-15956-01
Preface
This document lists and describes the system messages for the Cisco MDS 9000 Family of directors and
multilayer fabric switches. The system software sends these messages to the console (and, optionally, to
a logging server on another system) during operation. Not all messages indicate a problem with your
system. Some messages are purely informational, while others might help diagnose problems with links,
internal hardware, or the system software.
This document includes system messages for all Cisco MDS SAN-OS software releases. New system
message categories since the last update to the document are listed in Table 1New and Changed Features
and Related System Messages. This document is updated for all software releases.
This preface describes the audience, organization, and conventions of this guide. It also provides
information on how to obtain related documentation.
Audience
This guide is for system administrators who are responsible for managing Cisco MDS 9000 Family

You should be familiar with the basic concepts and terminology used in internetworking, and understand
