Error Message PORT-5-IF_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED_PORT_CONFIG_FAILURE: Interface [chars]
is not allowed to be operational due to port config failure for reason: [chars]
([hex]).
Explanation
Check interface configuration.
Recommended Action Try to change the configuration on the interface with the current available
hardware capability.

Error Message PORT-5-IF_DOWN_ADMIN_DOWN: Interface [chars] is down (Administratively
down).
Explanation
Interface has been configured to be administratively down.
Recommended Action Enter the CLI commands config terminal, interface, no shutdown or use a
similar Fabric Manager procedure to bring up the interface.

Error Message PORT-5-IF_DOWN_BIT_ERR_RT_THRES_EXCEEDED: Interface [chars] is down
(Error disabled - bit error rate too high).
Explanation
The port has detected a bit error rate too high in frames received from attached device.
Recommended Action Check the attached device and replace it if needed.

due to channel mis-configuration on local or remote switch).
Explanation
One port across a link is part of a PortChannel while the other is not.
Recommended Action While adding or deleting a member port from a PortChannel, both ports across
the link should be added or deleted. No operation should be performed on either port until they are
both added or deleted.
