SCSI target Messages
This section contains the SCSI target (SCSI target) messages.
SCSI target-2
Error Message SCSI target-2-PROC_ADD_NPORT_FAIL: Failed to set local nport with SCSI
target driver error: [hex].
Explanation
SCSI target process added an N port with its peer kernel driver listed. No SCSI
discovery can be performed.
Recommended Action Enter the show SCSI target internal driver CLI command or use a similar
Fabric Manager/Device Manager procedure to collect more information.

Error Message SCSI target-2-PROC_OPEN_VHBA_DEVICE_FAIL: Failed to communicate with
SCSI target driver error: [hex].
Explanation
SCSI target process failed to communicate with its peer kernel driver listed in the error

pwwn from WWN Manager error: [hex] response: [hex].
Explanation
SCSI target process used the wwnm_bwt_get_local_controller_wwn() API for the
port WWN and it failed because of the error and response code listed. No SCSI discovery can be
performed.
Recommended Action Enter the show process cpu and show system internal sysmgr service all
commands or use a similar Fabric Manager/Device Manager procedure to collect further
