Chapter 2 System Messages and Recovery Procedures for the Cisco MDS 9000 Family
Error Message SVC-3-NODE_ERR_MSG: (SVC [dec]/[dec] SS_NODERR_RESET_AND_REJECT )
Node data not found - node rejected from cluster [chars].
Explanation Node data was not found. The node has been rejected from the cluster.
Recommended Action Examine error logs to determine if another recorded error caused the loss of
the node data and, if so, follow the actions for that error. If no other error was recorded, the node
may have lost power without saving data or been reset. Attempt to determine the cause of the power
loss or reset. If no cause can be determined, then follow these steps: 1. Reinstall the code on the
node. The node will have to be removed and added back to the cluster. 2. Ensure that the software
is at the latest level on the cluster. If not, upgrade the cluster and if necessary repeat Step 1 with the
latest level of code. 3. If the error continues, ask your customer support representative for assistance.
It may be necessary to replace the Caching Services Module.
