CWDM (SFP) transceivers
CWDM (SFP) transceivers are hot-swappable, field-replaceable, small form pluggable devices (Figure 10)
that adapt an electronic data signal to laser light at a specific wavelength. These devices allo w gigabit
ports to link with fiber optic networks. CWDM (SFP) transceivers create light at one of eight specific
wavelengths.
CWDM (SFP) transceivers provide serial ID information and a special management and diagnostics por t.
Using th

obtain status and operating parameters.
