8. Remove an existing module, if needed. If not needed,
proceed to step 9.
a. Pull the retention clips away from the memory
module 1.
b. Lift the edge of the memory module 2 and slide it
gently out of the memory expansion slot at a 45-degree
angle.

To protect a module after it has been removed, place it in a
static-safe container.
