15. For Windows NT, rerun the Compaq Support Paq to make
sure the drivers have not been overwritten after
installing the Microsoft cluster software.
16. Verify the cluster operation, node failover, and client
failover.
17. Set up the cluster groups and cluster resources.

ENHANCED HUB CONFIGURATION
CLUSTER INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
1. Set up the ProLiant servers using one of the following
methods:

- Install Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0,
Enterprise Edition and run Compaq Support
Pack for Windows NT.

- Install Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
and run Compaq Support Paq for Windows 2000.
2. Install the dedicated interconnect.

E: An Ethernet crossover cable is provided in the ProLiant
Cluster HA/F500 for MA8000 Enhanced Cluster Kit for use as
the dedicated interconnect.
3. Set up the storage subsystem.
a. Configure the storage controllers.
b. Connect cables from the Fibre Channel switches or
hubs to the storage subsystem.
4. Install and configure both HBA s in the first server.
5. Install and configure both HBA s in the second server.
6. Install StorageWorks Command Console (SWCC) by
Compaq.
7. Configure the storage subsystem for Fibre Channel.
8. Verify the storage controller properties.
9. Configure the storagesets.
10. Install SANworks

Secure Path by Compaq software.
11. Connect the HBAs to the hubs or the switches.
12. Set the storage controllers to multibus failover.
13. Select

Prefer for the storage unit paths.
14. Install the Microsoft cluster software (Microsoft Cluster
Server or Microsoft Cluster Service). Install the latest
Microsoft Service Pack before installing Microsoft Cluster
Server.
