Cluster Installation
Installing Microsoft Cluster Server
Install MSCS on all cluster nodes by using the following steps:
1. Install MSCS on the first node and create the cluster.
2. Install MSCS on the remaining nodes and join the cluster.
3. Install applications.
Documenting the Configuration
Keep a printed copy of the configuration for future reference. Update the records
each time the configuration is modified. Follow the steps in the next section to
obtain the status of the controllers, association sets, remote copy sets, units, and
connections. Repeat the steps for the target site after obtaining this information for
the initiator site.
Saving Controller Information
To save controller information, refer to the following sections.
Terminal Emulator Session
1. Use a laptop computer or another computer to communicate with the storage
controller. Connect a serial cable between the COM port on that computer and
the corresponding serial port on the storage controller.
2. Start a terminal emulator session. Use the following settings:
— 9600 baud
— 8 bits
— No parity
— 1 stop bit
— NONE.
