Installing MSCS
1. Shut down all but one node.
2. Install MSCS on the first node and create a cluster.
3. Install MSCS on the remaining nodes, and join the cluster.
4. Install applications.

8. Create management zones.
a. Create separate management zones for any HSG80
systems in your SAN.
b. Create a separate management zone for SMAs that
include EVA controllers.
c. Create a cluster zone including cluster nodes and EVA
controllers.
9. Plan and populate the layout of one or more physical
disk groups.
10. Power up storage systems and SMAs.
11. Configure the fabric switches with IP addresses.
12. Set up the ProLiant servers, using one of the following
operating systems:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition
Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Microsoft
Service Pack 2 or 3
Microsoft Windows NT® Server 4.0, Enterprise Edition with
Microsoft Service Pack 6a
Configuring the Hardware
1. Install HP StorageWorks Continuous Access (CA) User
Interface on the SMA.
2. Enter the storage system WWN into the controller using the
Operator Control Panel (OCP).
3. Verify the switch zone encompassing the active SMA and
all storage systems.
4. Verify the switch zone for each operating system/host and
the storage systems.
5. Log on to the active SMA.
6. Enter the license key, if applicable.
7. Initialize the source site.
a. Name the site.
b. Create the virtual disk (VD) folders.
c. Create a host folder for each cluster.
d. Create any additional disk groups.
8. Initialize the destination site.
9. Create the source site VDs.
10. Add the hosts to the hosts folders for both the source and
destination.
11. Present the source VDs to the hosts.
12. Access the CA user interface.
13. Create the replicated disks.
14. Perform a discovery of the SAN.
15. Create the copy sets.
16. Create the disk replication (DR) groups.
17. Create the managed sets.
18. Present the VDs to the cluster nodes at the destination site.
