Running the Diagnostic Tests
1. Reboot your computer in DOS.
2. Insert your diskette into the floppy drive, and change to the \DIAG
subdirectory.
3. Type DIAG to start the diagnostics program. The diagnostics main
menu will appear.
Troubleshooting
Use the following suggestions to deal with errors you may encounter during
diagnostics testing:
n If the computer contains both ISA and PCI buses, check for an IRQ or
other resource conflict between devices on each.
n Check that the controller is properly seated and is not touching any other
controller.
n Try moving the controller to another slot or another computer.
If the problem persists, contact Compaq Technical Support; see page 2.
Installing the Driver
Each diskette’s root directory contains README.TXT. This file reports the
location of all driver documentation files and provides product release
information. As directed by the README, you will find your specific driver
installation instructions in that driver’s subdirectory. For example, you will find
documentation for the Novell NetWare server driver in the \NWSERVER
directory, along with the NetWare server driver.
