Configuring Cluster Service on
Server Node 2
If Server Node 2 is going to participate on the network as a domain controller,
the Active Directory support must be installed.
NOTE: If Server Node 2 is not participating as a domain controller, it has to be a
stand-alone server and part of the same domain as Server Node 1. In this situation,
proceed to step 3.
NOTE: Internet Information Service must be installed before Clustering Service can be
installed. Refer to the “Installing Internet Information Service” section in this guide for
information on installing IIS.
1. To install Active Directory support, click Configure Your Server,
which is found under the Administrator Tools. Launch the Active
Directory Wizard from the Configure Your Server panel. Follow the
prompts to complete the installation.
Refer to the Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server documentation
for more information on installing and configuring the Active Directory
Services.
2. Close all applications, reboot the server, and log on.
3. At the Configure Your Server screen, click Advanced.
4. Page down and select Cluster Service. The Cluster Service
Configuration Wizard begins. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete
the installation.
NOTE: Refer to the operating system online help or the Microsoft Windows 2000
Advanced Server documentation for details on installing and configuring Cluster Service.
Server Node 2 installation is complete.
