Altering Regional Settings
If your server will not be operating under the Windows NT default regional
settings, it will be necessary to alter the regional settings. These settings
control the keyboard language and set the local format for sorting and
displaying the time, date, number, and currency for a specified region.
To alter the regional settings:
1. Click Start to display the Start menu.
2. Click Settings, then Control Panel.
3. Double-click the Regional Options icon.
4. When the Regional Options Properties window appears, select the
General tab.
5. Select the correct locale from the drop-down list box.
6. Click the box next to the correct language setting.
7. Click the Input Locales tab in the Regional Options Properties window.
8. Click Add to select another input language.
9. On the drop-down list box, select the correct input locale and keyboard
layout.
Installing the Compaq Remote Insight Board
If a Compaq Remote Insight Board was purchased and preinstalled on the
server, install the Compaq Remote Insight Board drivers and the optional
remote control software by completing the following steps:
1. Click Start to display the Start menu.
2. Select Programs.
3. Click Compaq System Tools, then Compaq PCI RIB Installer. This
launches the Compaq Remote Insight Board Installation Utility.
4. Follow the system prompts to complete the installation.
NOTE: If the WAN driver is needed, create an alternate path for the Remote Access
Server (RAS) drivers. To create the alternate path, see the "Installing Additional Options"
section in this guide.
For more information on the Compaq Remote Insight Board, refer to the
Compaq Remote Insight Board documentation.
