Installing the Compaq Internal 56K PCI
Modem
If a Compaq internal 56K PCI modem was purchased and preinstalled on the
server, use the following instructions to complete the modem installation:
1. Click Start to display the Start menu, then select Programs.
2. Select Compaq System Tools, then Compaq PCI Modem Installer.
3. Click Finish, and the server will automatically restart.
4. Log on to the server, and click Start to display the Start menu.
5. Select Settings, then Control Panel.
6. Double-click the Modems icon.
7. Click Next at the Install Modem screen to have the system search for the
modem.
8. The modem will be listed as a Standard Modem. Click Change, then
Have Disk.
9. Type the following path in the text box, then click OK.
C:\Compaq\PCI Modem\
10. Select Compaq from the list of manufacturers, then select Compaq
Internal 56K PCI Modem.
11. Click Next, then click Finish to complete the driver installation.
12. Set the properties for the modem at the Modem Properties screen, then
click Close.
The modem installation is complete.
