Configuring the Shared Storage and
Installing Cluster Services on
Server Node 1
To complete the installation of the factory-installed operating system and to
configure server node 1:
1. Start the CR3500 Array Configuration Utility to configure the shared
storage RAID controllers and to set up the logical drives.
a. Click Start to display the Start menu.
b. Select Programs.
c. Select Compaq System Tools, then CR3500 Array Configuration
Utility.
Refer to the Compaq ProLiant CL380 User Guide for more information
on the Array Configuration Utility.
NOTE: Compaq recommends that you create a 100-MB quorum drive to store cluster
information.
2. After the shared storage drives have been configured, run the
Windows NT Disk Administrator to create volumes out of the logical
drives.
a. Click Start to display the Start menu.
b. Select Programs.
c. Select Administrative Tools, then Disk Administrator.
Be sure to assign drive letters and to format the volumes for NTFS.
Refer to the operating system documentation for information on creating
volumes out of logical drives.
NOTE: Both server nodes must have the same drive letters assigned to the same logical
drives for complete redundancy.
