Introduction
This guide provides information on completing the installation of the
factory-installed Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server Enterprise Edition
software on Compaq ProLiant™ CL380 servers.
Compaq factory-installed software automatically:
■ Installs the operating system on the server. All of the operating system
and required Compaq-specific software are preloaded and, where
possible, preconfigured.
■ Provides easy installation of the latest operating system service packs
and other tools.
■ Adds an entry to the Start menu for:
G Creating an Emergency Repair Diskette
G Installing the Compaq PCI Modem
G Installing the Compaq PCI Remote Insight Board
G Converting the hard drive partition from a File Allocation
Table (FAT) to a New Technology File System (NTFS)
■ Installs the Compaq CR3500 Array Configuration Utility.
