Completing the Installation of the
Factory-Installed Operating System
This section provides instructions for completing the installation of the
factory-installed operating system.
NOTE: Before powering up the server and configuring the operating system software,
connect the server hardware as described in the server user guide.
Ensure that the Network Interface Controllers (NICs) in both server nodes are connected
identically. For example, the embedded NICs can be connected to each other using the
short cable provided. Any additional NICs must be connected to the same networks.
Powering Up the Server
Carefully follow the online prompts and make keyboard entries only when
prompted by the system.
CAUTION: During the software installation, the server reboots several times. Do
not power down the server at any time during this process. Any power
interruption during this process could prevent proper completion of the
installation and might prevent the operating system from restarting.
