External Shared Storage Configuration 2
Figure 4-26 shows a ProLiant StorageWorks Enclosure Model 4214 with a
4210 Dual Bus option card connected to a ProLiant CL380. It shows six disk
drives in the shared storage area (SCSI IDs 9 to 14) and seven disk drives in
the external shared storage area (SCSI IDs 0 to 5 and 8). The ProLiant CL380
only uses one bus on the external storage unit. Please see Appendix H,
“SCSI ID Configurations” for more information.
NOTE: This configuration limits the number of available SCSI IDs in the shared storage
area and external shared storage to 14. This limitation is due to the number of available
SCSI IDs in each bus of the external storage. SCSI IDs 6 and 7 are reserved for controllers.
