74.01 An error occurred when loading the rmware update le.
Turn o the printer using the Power button at the front.
Turn o the power switch at the rear.
Disconnect the power cord.
Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
Reload the rmware update le into the printer. See Update the rmware on page 128.
74.1:04 Try the rmware update again. Do not try to use your computer while the update is in progress.
74.8:04 The rmware update has failed. Your rmware le may be incorrect; try to download it again. See

The system error log
The printer saves a log of system errors that you can access in the following ways.
Using a USB ash drive
1. Create an empty le named pdipu_enable.log in a USB ash drive.
2. Insert the USB ash drive into the Hi-Speed USB host port in the front panel. The log will be
automatically copied into the drive.
Using the Embedded Web Server
1. In your Web browser, go to http://printer IP address/hp/device/webAccess/log.html.
2. The Embedded Web Server will send you a le called log.tar.gz containing the system error log.
Alternatively, select the Support tab, then Service Support > Download Diagnostic Package.
