Embedded web server cannot be opened
1. Restart your network router.
2. Wait until your computer and network have both reconnected to the network successfully.
3. Access the printer’s EWS again.
Check your network
●
Make sure you are not using a phone cord or a crossover cable to connect the printer to the network.
Check the computer
●
Make sure the computer that you are using is connected to the same network as the printer.
NOTE: You may also access the printer’s EWS if the computer is connected to the printer through Wi-Fi
Direct. For information about how to access EWS through Wi-Fi Direct, see Embedded web server
Check your web browser

Make sure the web browser meets the minimum system requirements. For more information, see
system requirements in the printer's Readme le found on the HP printer software CD.

If your web browser uses any proxy settings to connect to the Internet, try turning o these settings. For
more information, see the documentation available with your web browser.

Make sure JavaScript and cookies are enabled in your web browser. For more information, see the
documentation available with your web browser.
Check the printer IP address
●
To check the IP address of the printer, you can print a wireless test report. For more information about
the wireless test report, see Test the wireless connection.

Ping the printer using the IP address from the command prompt (Windows) or from Network Utility (OS
X).
NOTE: To nd Network Utility from OS X, click the icon Spotlight, and then type Network Utility into
the search eld.
For example, if the IP address is 123.123.123.123, type the following at the command prompt
(Windows):
C:\ping 123.123.123.123
Or
In Network Utility (OS X), click the Ping tab, type the 123.123.123.123 in the box, and then click Ping.
If a reply appears, the IP address is correct. If a time-out response appears, the IP address is incorrect.
