1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for Disassembly on page 73).
2. Remove the access panel (
Computer Access Panel on page 126).
3. Remove the front fan assembly (
Front Fan Assembly on page 149).
4. When replacing the system board, make sure the following components are removed from the
defective system board and installed on the replacement system board:

Memory modules (

●
Expansion cards (
Expansion Cards on page 134)
●
Heat sink (
Heat sink on page 153).
●
Processor (
Processor on page 155)
5. Remove all expansion boards (
Expansion Cards on page 134).
6. Disconnect all cables connected to the system board, noting their location for reinstallation.
