Configuration and Software
Installation
This chapter describes how to configure the Interface Manager card for first-time
use. This chapter also provides instructions for installing and configuring
Command View TL software that is included with the expansion cage and
Interface Manager kit.
Before attempting to configure the Interface Manager card, make sure that:
■ You have successfully completed the hardware installation as described in
Chapter 2, “Hardware Installation.”
■ You have the management station (or another PC or laptop) connected to the
Interface Manager card via the cascade or serial port (see Connecting the PC
or Laptop).
■ The library and PC are powered on.
