Using Fast!UTIL
This section provides detailed conguration information for advanced users who want to customize the
conguration of an HBA and the connected devices.
Use Fast!UTIL, HP’s BIOS-resident conguration tool to customize the HBA’s conguration. Access
Fast!UTIL by pressing ALT+Q during the H BA BIOS initialization (it may take a few seco nds for the Fast!
UTIL Options menu to display). If you have more than one HBA, Fast!UTIL prompts you to select the
HBA you want to congure. After changing the settings and exiting the utility, Fast!UTIL reboots your
system to load the new parameters.
CAUTION:
If the conguration settings are incorrect, your HBA may not function properly.
The following sections describe the Fast!UTIL options.
Conguration Settings
The rst selection on the Fast!UTIL Options menu is Conguration Settings. These settings congure the
Fibre Channel devices and the HBA to which they are attached.
