2 Getting to know your tablet
Finding your hardware and software information
Locating hardware
To find out what hardware is installed on your tablet:
1. Swipe from the right edge, and then tap Search. In the search box, type control panel, and
then select Control Panel.
2. Select System and Security, and then in the System area, tap Device Manager.
A list displays all the devices installed on your tablet.
Locating software
To find out what software is installed on your tablet, on the Start screen, swipe up from the center of
the touch screen to display the Apps screen.

Component Description
(1) WLAN antennas (2)* Send and receive wireless signals to communicate with wireless
local area networks (WLANs).
(2) Webcam Records video and captures photographs. Some models allow
you to video conference and chat online using streaming video.
To use the webcam, on the Start screen, tap the Camera app.
(3) Webcam light On: The webcam is in use.
