d. Remove the hard drive bracket (3) from the hard drive.
The hard drive bracket and screws are available in the Hard Drive Hardware Kit, spare part number
738395-001.
Reverse this procedure to install a hard drive.
Modem module (select models only)

Before removing the modem module, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 56).
5. Remove the service cover (see Service cover on page 57).
Remove the modem module:
1. Remove the two Phillips screws (1) that secure the modem module to the system board.
2. Lift the front edge of the modem module (2) and disconnect it from the system board.
