For use in ProBook 650 G1 models equipped with a 15.6-in. display assembly 738702-001
For use in ProBook 655 G1 models equipped with a 15.6-in. display assembly 745891-001
For use in computer models equipped with a 14-in. display assembly 738400-001
Before removing the USB board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 56), and then remove the following components:
a. Service cover (see Service cover on page 57)
b. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 58)
c. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 69)
d. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 72)
e. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 82)
Remove the USB board:
1. Remove the four Phillips screws (3) that secure the USB board to the base enclosure.
