System Fan
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Preparation for Disassembly on page 37)
2.
Remove the access panel (
Access Panel on page 38)
3.
Disconnect the cable that connects the system fan to the system board.
4.
Cut the tie-wrap (1) at the bottom of the fan that secures the CPU power cable (2) to the fan.
5.
Remove the screws that secure the fan to the chassis and remove the fan.
To install the fan, reverse the removal procedures.
NOTE: When installing the fan, the CPU power cable must be plugged into the system board
before securing the cable to the bottom of the fan cage. This will ensure that the cable is properly
positioned.
