User-replaceable battery
Make sure to follow proper instructions when you remove, store, or dispose of a user-replaceable battery.
WARNING! To reduce potential safety issues, use only the user-replaceable battery provided with the tablet,
a replacement battery provided by HP, or a compatible battery purchased from HP.
IMPORTANT: Removing a user-replaceable battery that is the sole power source for the tablet can cause
loss of information. To prevent loss of information, save your work or shut down the tablet before removing
the battery.
Replacing the battery
If you purchased an optional battery, use this procedure and illustration to remove and replace the battery.
1. Position the tablet upside down on a lat surface.
2. Loosen the battery cover screw (1), remove the battery cover (2), and then remove the battery from
the tablet (3).
3. Insert the new battery (1), replace the battery cover (2), and then tighten the battery cover screw (3).
