Storing a user-replaceable battery
Check your stored battery every 6 months. If the capacity is less than 50%, recharge the battery before
returning it to storage.
IMPORTANT: To reduce the risk of damage to a battery, do not expose it to high temperatures for extended
periods of time.
Disposing of a user-replaceable battery
Be sure to follow proper disposal instructions when you dispose of your battery.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of re or burns, do not disassemble, crush, or puncture; do not short external
contacts; do not dispose of in re or water.

Charging the battery
The tablet does not use battery power when it is connected to external power with an approved AC adapter or
an optional docking device or expansion product.
1. Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet (1), and then connect the other end of the cable to the power
connector on the tablet (2).
2. Verify that the battery is charging:
● Check the Charging Battery icon , which appears in the top right corner of the screen.
● Check the charging light. See Top and bottom on page 3 for more information.

. While the battery is charging, keep the AC adapter connected until the battery information in the status
area or notication area reads as 100% charged.
Viewing battery life
To view approximately how much battery life remains:
