• Note the following information from the Default Network Settings label attached to the primary
module:
o DNS name
o User name
o Password
• Connect any Ethernet module stacking cables ("Recommended stacking connections" on page 55).
After logging in for the first time, the Virtual Connect Domain Setup Wizard appears. This wizard walks
the user through the following tasks:
• Importing the enclosure (creating the domain)
• Naming the domain
• Administrating local users
If the wizard is cancelled before the enclosure is imported, the user is returned to the login screen. To
restart the wizard, select Domain Setup Wizard from the Tools menu on the home page.
Local Enclosure
To communicate with other Virtual Connect modules and server blades, Virtual Connect Manager requires
the logon credentials for the local Onboard Administrator.
IMPORTANT: An Onboard Administrator user name and password with full administrative
privileges for the selected enclosure is required.
