Description
This release includes updated firmware for the HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader .
The Autoloader firmware can be updated through any of the following methods:
• Remote management interface (RMI).
• Operator control panel (OCP) using a USB flash drive.
• HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT).

Autoloader firmware
• Added support for HP Command View TL TapeAssure.
• Added support for LTO-5 tape drives.
• Added a configuration setting to the RMI Configuration: Network screen to restrict network access.
Enabling this option disables network ports that are not necessary for the device's network features.
• Added support for an improved bar code reader used within the device to identify tape cartridges.
Robotics firmware
• Added support for an improved bar code reader used within the device to identify tape cartridges.
• Increased Autoloader performance by increasing the communication speed between the robotics
controller and autoloader controller.
• Improved the ability of the Autoloader robotics to correctly locate storage slots.
