Description
Fabric OS 7.0.2d is a patch release based on Fabric OS 7.0.2c. All hardware platforms and
features supported in Fabric OS 7.0.1 and later are also supported in Fabric OS 7.0.2d.
Fabric OS 7.0.2d contains problem resolutions for defects, including all the problem resolutions
from Fabric OS 7.0.1x and 7.0.2x. This release also includes the following features and
enhancements:
• D_Port Enhancement: D_Port link saturation capability, which is the ability to drive test traffic
to saturate link utilization close to line rate as part of D_Port test.
• Assignment of individual ports of an optical ICL to logical switches: Prior to Fabric OS 7.0.2
in a virtual fabrics enabled environment, an entire ICL port (which includes four individual
ports as part of a single QSFP) had to be associated with a single logical switch. Starting with
Fabric OS 7.0.2, the individual ports within an optical ICL can be assigned to different logical
switches. This feature is applicable to the HP SN8000B SAN Director platforms.
NOTE: If any individual port of a QSFP is part of the Base Switch, the remaining ports of
that QSFP cannot be assigned to any other logical switch.
• Bottleneck detection enhancements: Decoupling of latency and congestion alerts. There was
previous support for switch-wide enablement of both latency and congestion bottleneck
monitoring. Starting with Fabric OS 7.0.2, users have the option to enable separate alerts for
latency bottleneck or congestion bottleneck.
Fabric OS 7.0.1 introduced support for the following FC hardware platforms. That support is
carried forward with this release:
• HP SN3000B 16 Gbps FC Switch
This new switch supports the following:
◦ Up to 24 16 Gbps FC ports
◦ 4/8/16 Gbps FC for open systems
◦ D-port and Forward Error Correction (FEC) with 16G SFP+
◦ Access Gateway mode
◦ Automatic VC level credit recovery
◦ Advanced Performance Monitoring E_Port Top Talkers
◦ All the same features supported in the 8/24 SAN Switch
