HP B-series Fabric OS 7.0.2d Release Notes (5697-2822, August 2013--includes all 7.0.x versions)

Table 13 Fabric OS 7.0.1 closed defects (continued)
SolutionClosed fixes summary
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.Switch panic or failover may occur due to an Out of Memory (OOM)
condition due to MSK not freeing resources after RPL/DPL queries.
Workaround prior to upgrade: Power
cycle the blade or the chassis.
The HP SN8000B 16 Gbps 32-port FC Blade is set to Faulty-51 after power
cycling either of the HP SN8000B Directors.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.The tracestore thread has a high CPU utilization for extensive periods
of time after executing a polling script.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.Parity errors are detected on FCoE switches during supportsave collection,
which may result in a switch fault.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.Unreliable speed negotiations may occur with Brocade 5470 switches when
connected to non-Brocade HBAs.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.In FICON environments, IEBCOPY may fail when read pipelining is enabled
on an HP 1606 SAN Extension Switch or HP DC SAN Director Multiprotocol
Extension Blade. Other tape jobs are not affected.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.Zone DB distribution fails to reach all domains in the fabric. This can be
caused by using switchcfgpersistentdisable/enable.
Workaround prior to upgrade: Lock the
switches to a fixed speed.
If 8 Gbps switches are locked to G_Port configurations and set to auto
negotiate; they may negotiate to 4 Gbps instead of 8 Gbps when running
Fabric OS 7.0.0 or later.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.Customers may be unable to contact the switch the first time, and also may
be unable to get complete results while querying any table via an SNMPv3
user-defined user assigned to a particular Logical Fabric.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.In FICON environments, emulation sets the wrong sequence count and
sequence ID on the re-driven RRS Chain after getting an immediate command
retry status on the HP 1606 SAN Extension Switch. The host receives ABTS
from the XRC utility device, but normal abort recovery is successful.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.The switch Ethernet port may sometimes send frames with an invalid Ethernet
MAC address on the Brocade 300 E, the HP 8/40 24-port SAN Switch,
the HP 1606 SAN Extension Switch, and the HP SN6000B 16 Gbps FC
Switch. There is no impact to functional operations because the TCP/IP
frame retransmits successfully. However, if there is security software
monitoring, each frame triggers alarms upon detection of the invalid MAC
addresses.
Workaround prior to upgrade: Use
Advanced Management (WT).
The EZ Manager does not allow custom zoning when a dual configured
(initiator/target) device exists in the switch, even though custom zoning
should be allowed.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1.The ceeportloopbacktest -port option does not run correctly on the
HP 2408 FCoE Switch.

SolutionClosed fixes summary
Workaround prior to upgrade: When a
mismatch in speed setting occurs,
There may be multiple I/O problems on 16 Gbps platforms caused by ports
that may negotiate to 16 Gbps even though there is an 8 Gbps optic
installed.
