Table 14 Fabric OS 7.0.1a closed defects (continued)
SolutionClosed fixes summary
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1a.The following issues are seen with portloopbacktest on 16 Gbps platforms:
The portloopbacktest -nframes option does not work properly.
Test is skipped in slot3 and above.
Man page has incorrect default number of frames.
Mode 1 portloopbacktest fails on the HP SN8000B 16 Gbps
32-port and 48-port Fl Blades in either slot 7 or 8 of the HP SN8000B
4-Slot SAN Director Switch.
Incorrect diagstatus outputs dummytest, rather than
portloopbacktest.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1a.SRDF is unable to handle a busy response to commands when SRDF
replication with FCIP FastWrite is enabled.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1a.A CP panic and unintended HA Failover occurs during a core blade
replacement.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1a.There is a POST failure on 16 Gbps platforms; a misleading or incorrect
error message is output when the chassis is power cycled.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1a.In FICON environments, tape applications may fail with an MIH error.
FICON selective resets occur during sort tape jobs with large channel
programs running through FICON to ESCON converter and FCIP FICON
Tape Pipelining.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1a.FCIP Complex DP reset, FCIP Tunnel failure (on the peer side). DP Panic
may occur with 3900 type printers when FICON printer emulation is
enabled.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1a.Errors may occur with the replication application after upgrading from
Fabric OS 6.4.1_fcoe to Fabric OS 7.0.x with FCIP emulation.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1a.The FCIP tunnel may bounce on the HP 1606 SAN Extension Switch if there
is not enough bandwidth and high emulated I/O may cause a local keep
alive timeout.
Fabric OS 7.0.1b fixes
Table 15 (page 55) lists the defects closed for this release.

SolutionClosed fixes summary
Workaround prior to upgrade: Avoid
running nsaliasshow.
Unable to manage switch because the shared memory segments are
consumed by the server. The application receives the error message
shmInit: shmget failed: No space left on device.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1b.
Workaround prior to upgrade: Use the
CLI to configure zoning.
The WWN of an HBA port connected to an Access Gateway switch does
not appear on the zoning admin windows when trying to configure the
HBA port using Network Advisor or Web Tools.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1b.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.1b.An integrated routing license on Fabric OS 7.0.1 and 7.0.1a is incorrectly
required for VEX_Ports. As a result, an HP 400 Multi-protocol Router, HP
DC SAN Backbone Director Switch, or an HP DC04 SAN Director Switch
running Fabric OS 7.0.1 or 7.0.1a with no integrated routing license
installed can configure VEX_Ports on an HP SAN Director Multi-Protocol
Router Blade or the HP 400 Multi-protocol Router, but hosts will not discover
targets through the VEX_Ports. No message is displayed indicating why
target discovery has failed. This incorrect behavior occurs after upgrading
to Fabric OS 7.0.1 or 7.0.1a. All other functionality is unaffected.
