HP B-series Fabric OS 7.0.2d Release Notes (5697-2822, August 2013--includes all 7.0.x versions)

Table 17 Fabric OS 7.0.2a closed defects (continued)
SolutionClosed fixes summary
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.Connection problems occur with third-party storage. When trying to make
a configuration change, the storage was unable to connect to a Brocade
switch with In_Sync after switchenable and switchdisable commands
were executed.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.The Brocade 5470 switch negotiates only to 4Gb speed.
Workaround prior to upgrade: Avoid any
discovery frame during HA Failover or
firmware download.
A kernel panic may occur when upgrading to Fabric OS 6.4.3 and 7.0.1b
or later. With more than 2 VE ports configured on an HP DC SAN Director
Multiprotocol Extension Blade, the switch may panic during HA Failover if
there are ELS frames coming in.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.
Workaround prior to upgrade: Restart
httpd or perform an HA Failover.
Users may lose manageability via Network Advisor. The HTTPD (Apache
server 1.3.31-10) goes to defunct state.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.With session based zoning using servers with third-party HBAs, users may
be unable to configure storage properly.
Workaround prior to upgrade: None.
However. relocating the HP DC SAN
Rolling reboots occur when a faulty HP DC SAN Director Multiprotocol
Extension Blade is detected.
Director Multiprotocol Extension Blade to
a different slot may alleviate the
underlying hardware fault.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.Brocade 10 Gb FC ports may be unable to synchronize with third-party 10
Gb FC ports on DWDM equipment.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.A switch panic occurs during HA Failover after a user performed port
address binding, which, causes a switch panic on the new active CP
triggering a disruption.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.When offline ports are moved from the default switch to a logical switch
during HA Failover, the newly moved ports FCID are not synchronized to
the standby CP. This may occur when running in either address mode 1 or
address mode 2.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.CRC errors may occur on ports with an LWL SFP running at 8 Gb.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.Insufficient information is provided in the portloopbacktest failure
diagnostic test.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.While diagnostics are running on a port blade, the toggle slider on the
core blade can trigger a busy buffer stuck with traffic issue, causing the
blade to fault.
Workaround prior to upgrade: Bounce
the F_Port using portdisable and then
portenable commands to recover.
In a mainframe setup, when many N ports are bounced at the same time,
some hosts are unable to see the storage.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.A switch panic may occur when executing security scans aggressively.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.Portpperfshow displays incorrect information. One F_Port shows 8.5g
of traffic but portstatshow and slotstatsshow do not, and the total
field for the slot does not match the actual total.
Workaround prior to upgrade: Run
sfpshow -f <port#> and then
portdisable/portenable to recover.
Upgrade to Fabric OS 6.4.3x, 7.0.2x, 7.0.1a or later results in errors on
ports that have media validation issues. ENC, CRC, and other errors
occurred on some ports after an upgrade. Errors on ISL ports may cause
fabric interruption. There were no errors prior to the upgrade.
Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.2a.
