The HP Serial Management Cable Kit contains 3 items; MX-9-1 DB-9 (plug) to RJ-45
adapter, FS-10-1 DB-9 (receptacle) to RJ-45 adapter, and RJ-45 rollover cable. The
MX-9-1 wiring acts as a null-modem (cross-over), the FS-10-1 has straight-through
wiring, and the RJ-45 rollover cable also acts as a null-modem. Combinations of
these items will allow the HP 24-Port 4x Fabric Copper Switch console to be
connected to common terminals.
In addition, an RJ-45 patch cord (not supplied) can be used if straight-through RJ-45
cable wiring is required.
